Call for Singers

Acceptance into membership* is by audition. Each semester (fall and spring) begins with two open rehearsals.  They are the first and second Monday after Labor Day (fall), and the first and second spring concert rehearsals in January (dates vary).  Visitors will be able to participate and borrow scores.

Auditions: Auditions usually take place at the beginnings of semesters. Please prepare a piece of music that reflects your vocal range and bring two copies to the audition. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Some ability to sight read a score is a plus.

Dues

*Our membership fee is $75 per season (two seasons per concert year). Student dues (you must have a currently valid student ID) are $25 per season. Dues are to be paid on the night of the first rehearsal for returning members, and at the first rehearsal following a successful audition for new members.

CTLE

Music teachers are eligible to receive 30 Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) credit hours by singing with Huntington Choral Society. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please check the “CTLE” box in the registration form below.

Rehearsal Schedule and Venue

Chorus rehearsals take place on Monday nights at 7:30 PM at Huntington High School (map) (with occasional rehearsals at the Congregational Church of Huntington (map).
